For three consecutive days, Penang will flicker and pulsate to a different kind of rhythm. Nestled in the serene Quarry Garden situated just left of the entrance to the famous Botanic Gardens and amidst lush trees and tropical foliage, the 3rd Penang World Music Festival 2012 will be held. The festival will feature world renowned musicians from Malaysia as well as from overseas who will gather and participate in "a convergence of harmonic fusion".
From 30th March to 1st April 2012, the Penang World Music Festival organized by the Penang State Tourism Development and Culture Office and further supported by KDU, Virtual Malaysia and Hard Rock Hotel (The Official Hotel) promises to enthrall and entertain thousands with top world music performances. This time, the event is expected to attract a bigger crowd as world music enthusiasts, international, regional and local, throng to the Botanic Gardens in 2012.
